Game Two - Part 1


After completing the first game we were instantly given our second, with no time to waste I cracked into it. We were given a choice between a steam punk rescue or a space rescue themed game. I liked the idea of a space rescue game, after thinking about the theme i came up with a great concept for my game. It was to involve a maze, rescue pickups, a timer and a finish point. Not knowing what my pickups would be i started with building the maze first. I didn’t map out the level like I did in the first game, i had already pictured what my layout would look like so i started mazing out my level in unity. 


I had made the maze a little challenging but still playable and fun. I put a ramp that takes you onto the other side of the wall where it would lead to the finish. After playing around and thinking about the rescue side of things, i decided to use the 9 planets in our solar system as rescue pickups since it is a space rescue game. I made the planets out of simple spheres in unity and placed them accordingly around the maze. 


The pickups were placed and ready to be textured. The large sphere left over is not going to be a pickup but a decoration for the game.
